Abstract

The Industrial Revolution brought fundamental changes to transportation, and the subsequent advancements in science and technology saw the proliferation of automobiles. In today's world, a significant preference for private vehicles has led to a surge in their numbers on the roads. In India alone, the total number of vehicles reached 326.3 million in fiscal year 2022. Unfortunately, this increase in vehicles has also resulted in a rise in fatal accidents, often caused by misjudgements or lapses in driver focus. To address this issue, it is crucial to incorporate assistance systems in vehicles, designed to prevent accidents and ensure overall road safety. Our project aims to contribute to road safety by implementing a Collision Warning System using deep learning. This system is designed to assist drivers, reduce accidents, and ultimately save lives.
