Abstract

A recent study conducted at the University of California Santa Barbara explored the experiences of adults with high adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) who engage in yoga practice. The study found that individuals with ACEs may view yoga as a valuable method for promoting healing through an integrative approach. The research highlights the potential benefits of yoga and mindfulness in addressing the physical, mental, and socio-emotional health of individuals who have experienced trauma. This study provides insight into the perspectives of those who have experienced multiple ACEs and their experiences with mind-body therapy. [Extracted from the article]
