Abstract
- A recent study conducted at the University of Laval in Quebec City, Canada, explored the use of automated oxygen titration in the treatment of acute respiratory failure. The researchers found that automated oxygen titration could successfully be implemented in hospitalized patients with hypoxemic respiratory failure. The device was able to maintain oxygen saturation within the prescribed therapeutic window in 89% of cases. The study suggests that further improvements to the device and recommendations for optimized utilization should be made based on this experience. [Extracted from the article]
