Abstract

A recent study conducted by the Institute of Public Health in Guizhou Province, China, examined the correlation between mushroom poisoning cases and meteorological factors. The study found that mushroom poisoning is a significant food safety issue in the region, with cases primarily occurring among individuals aged 20-59. Gastrointestinal symptoms were the most common, and incidents peaked from June to October in the northeastern region of the province. The study also revealed a positive correlation between meteorological factors and the number of mushroom poisoning cases, suggesting that these factors could serve as early warning indicators for prevention and control.
