Abstract

A recent report from the Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology in Haryana, India, highlights the potential benefits of yoga therapy for premenstrual syndrome (PMS). The study found that yoga can help alleviate the physical, psychological, and behavioral symptoms associated with PMS. The research involved a systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials, which showed that yoga therapy can reduce emotional distress, improve quality of life, and provide relief from menstrual pain, irregular periods, stress, tension, and anxiety. These findings suggest that yoga may be a valuable complementary and alternative medicine approach for managing PMS symptoms. [Extracted from the article]
