Abstract
- Researchers at Jiangxi University in Nanchang, China have synthesized a new pharmaceutical cocrystal called HSP-NOR, which is a combination of hesperetin and norfloxacin. The cocrystal was created to improve the antibacterial activity and physicochemical properties of the drugs. The study found that the cocrystal had stronger antibacterial activity against certain bacteria compared to norfloxacin alone. Additionally, the cocrystal showed no signs of toxicity in mice during an in vivo study. This research provides valuable insights into the development of ophthalmic antiinfectives.
