A 14-year-old boy from India has defended his title as World Champion at the Mental Calculation World Cup 2024 in Germany. Aaryan Shukla won six trophies and set five new world records. At the event he had to do multiplication and square roots. Aaryan has been practising maths since he was six years old and he is known as the "human calculator". He told Guinness World Records, "My favourite thing about mental maths is that I can represent my country at various stages."
