Abstract
- As a new cermet material, Ti<subscript>3</subscript>SiC<subscript>2</subscript> combines the properties of metals and ceramics,such as high thermal conductivity,high melting points,high yield strength,good thermal stability,high elastic modulus,and excellent thermal shock resistance.However,the pure Ti<subscript>3</subscript>SiC<subscript>2</subscript> material has poor oxidation resistance at above 1 100 °C,and its strength at high temperatures is reduced due to plastic deformation,which limits its application.At present, Ti<subscript>3</subscript>SiC<subscript>2</subscript> matrix composites with excellent comprehensive properties are generally prepared by introducing reinforcements.The research status of Ti<subscript>3</subscript>SiC<subscript>2</subscript> matrix composites in recent years was reviewed.The preparation methods,reinforcements and properties of several common Ti<subscript>3</subscript>SiC<subscript>2</subscript> matrix composites were analyzed.The further development direction was put forward.
