Abstract

Today, all over the world, the export development of entrepreneurial small and medium enterprises (SMEs) plays an important role in economic growth and development, as well as creating employment and innovation, especially in less developed countries. Therefore, the purpose of the present research was to futures studies of export development of entrepreneurial SMEs of food industry units in Kermanshah province's industrial estates company. For this purpose, a mixed approach (qualitative-quantitative) was used using the fuzzy Delphi method. The study population (statistics) of this research included all experts in the field of this research. In this research, the purposeful snowball sampling method was used to select the participants. The data collection tools in the qualitative phase included in-depth and semi-structured interviews; group discussions; field notes taking; and document review, and in the quantitative phase included researcher-made questionnaires. The data were analyzed in the qualitative section using the content analysis technique and in the quantitative section using the fuzzy method. Based on the findings, the strategies, in order of priority, include Investigation of consumer’s behaviour in target markets (0.963), market research (0.952), strengthen of marketing advertisements (0.940), investment attraction (0.940), infrastructure development (0.940), appropriate support and incentives (0.930), updating technology (0.928), increasing the level of awareness (0.918), obtaining permits and concluding international agreements (0.918), good governance (0.906) and control and supervision (0.893). In a summary, export development requires sufficient knowledge of consumer’s behaviour and export markets. It is suggested to review the policies at the macro level and increasing the level of awareness and necessary skills in the field of export through holding training workshops at the micro level.
