Abstract

Starting from ClSbR<superscript>F</superscript><subscript>2</subscript> (R<superscript>F</superscript> = C<subscript>2</subscript>F<subscript>5</subscript>, 3,5-(CF<subscript>3</subscript>)<subscript>2</subscript>C<subscript>6</subscript>H<subscript>3</subscript>) and H(E)P(tBu)<subscript>2</subscript> (E = O, S), we prepared the oxy- and sulphanediyl-bridged adducts R<superscript>F</superscript><subscript>2</subscript>Sb(Cl)–E–(H)P(tBu)<subscript>2</subscript>, which are stable against the elimination of HCl. The different electron-withdrawing substituents and chalcogen bridging units influence the size of the Sb–E–P angle. ClSb(C<subscript>2</subscript>F<subscript>5</subscript>)<subscript>2</subscript> and nBu<subscript>3</subscript>SnH react to give HSb(C<subscript>2</subscript>F<subscript>5</subscript>)<subscript>2</subscript>, which seems to interact weakly with H(O)P(tBu)<subscript>2</subscript> in solution as observed via NMR. All products were characterised by NMR spectroscopy and all the stable ones were additionally characterised by X-ray diffraction and elemental analyses. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
