Abstract
- Researchers from Orta Dogu Teknik Universitesi have conducted a study on colon cancer, specifically examining the differential metabolism of l-glutamine in metastatic versus primary colorectal cancer (CRC). The study found that metastatic CRC cells can display aberrant glutamine metabolism, and that upon l-glutamine withdrawal, SW620 cells (metastatic CRC cells) were able to metabolize lipids for survival and cellular motility. The research provides new insights into the preferential activation of lipid metabolism in metastatic colorectal cancer. [Extracted from the article]
