Studies in the Area of Pediatrics Reported from Masaryk University [Ventilation Efficacy During Paediatric Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (Pedivent): Simulation-based Comparative Study].

A recent study conducted by researchers at Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic, aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of ventilation during pediatric cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) performed by healthcare professionals (HCPs) and lay rescuers (LRs). The study found that both HCPs and LRs were able to deliver effective ventilation to pediatric mannequins after structured CPR training. The findings suggest that initiating pediatric CPR with initial breaths, as recommended by the European Resuscitation Council (ERC) guidelines, is justifiable.
