Abstract
- A recent study conducted by researchers at Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic, aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of ventilation during pediatric cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) performed by healthcare professionals (HCPs) and lay rescuers (LRs). The study found that both HCPs and LRs were able to deliver effective ventilation to pediatric mannequins after structured CPR training. The findings suggest that initiating pediatric CPR with initial breaths, as recommended by the European Resuscitation Council (ERC) guidelines, is justifiable. This simulation-based study provides valuable insights into resuscitation practices and can contribute to future research in this area. [Extracted from the article]
