Abstract
- A recent study conducted by Alexandria University in Egypt examined the serum levels of ischemia modified albumin (IMA) and interleukin-17 (IL-17) in children with atopic dermatitis (AD). The study found that there was a statistically significant elevation in the mean levels of IL-17 and IMA in patients with AD compared to the control group. Additionally, there was a strong positive correlation between IL-17 and IMA levels. The researchers concluded that AD is a systemic inflammatory disease associated with increased oxidative stress.
