Abstract
- According to a preprint abstract, researchers have conducted five experiments to investigate the long-term effectiveness of psychological interventions in countering misinformation. The experiments involved text-based, video-based, and game-based interventions, and found that text-based and video-based interventions remained effective for one month, while game-based interventions decayed more rapidly. The researchers also proposed an integrated memory-motivation model and suggested that incorporating knowledge from cognitive science of memory could lead to more durable and scalable interventions against misinformation. However, it is important to note that this preprint has not yet undergone peer review. [Extracted from the article]
