Abstract

Researchers at the University of Health Sciences in Cambodia have released new data on medical education innovations in resource-limited contexts. The study highlights the need for transforming medical education to meet evolving healthcare needs and discusses practical examples of innovative approaches taken by the University of Health Sciences. These include an elective International Programme, a Master of Health Professions Education, and a student-led initiative called Peer-assisted Learning. The success of these initiatives is attributed to factors such as long-term strategic planning, supportive leadership, active partnerships, policy commitment, resourcefulness, and student engagement. However, challenges such as the late adoption of technology-enhanced learning and the need for robust faculty development programs remain. [Extracted from the article]
