Abstract
- Using the reductive perturbation method (RPM) drive the Korteweg-de Vries (KdV) equation for ion-acoustic dressed solitons (IADSs) in unmagnetized plasmas consisting of superthermal electrons, positrons, and ions. We have studied the characteristics of the KdV and dressed solitons (KDSs) for different values of superthermal electrons, positrons, ionic temperature ratio (γ), and fractional concentration (α). For a given fixed superthermal parameter, soliton amplitude increases as soliton velocity increases of the KDSs, respectively. The difference in velocity of the KDSs decreases as the superthermal parameter increases at any given soliton amplitude. At any given soliton velocity, the difference between amplitude of the KDSs decreases as the superthermal parameter increases. This system is satisfied for superthermal parameters that are present in astrophysical plasma environments (viz. Saturn magnetosphere, pulsar magnetosphere). [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
