Abstract

Purpose: This paper aims to explore a new method for efficient mining of iron ore resources, focusing on the effect of the double sublevels parallel mining method in improving mining efficiency and resource recovery rate, and analyze the safety and stability in the mining process through specific cases. Method: Taking an iron ore mine in Anhui province as the research object, the paper innovatively put forward the double sublevels parallel mining method. By using FLAC3D numerical simulation software, a typical stope numerical model with a size of 50 mX 15 mX 120 m (length, width and height)is constructed to simulate the mining process of double sublevels parallel mining. Result; The stress concentration at the bottom of the goaf and host rock on both sides of the stope increased significantly after the excavation of the double-sublevel stope. The goaf roof has significant displacement, with the maximum displacement reaching 1.2 m. The maximum displacement of the side is 0. 8 m. Further analysis shows that the potential failure mode of host rock is mainly shear plastic failure. Conclusion; The double sublevel parallels mining method has significant advantages in improving the efficiency and resource recovery of iron ore mining. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
