Abstract

Novel optically active π-conjugated polymers having a chiral bifacial indacenodithiophene backbone were synthesized by Suzuki–Miyaura cross coupling polymerization with benzothiadiazole comonomer. The obtained C<subscript>2</subscript>-chiral polymers form amorphous thin films on HOPG and exhibit good chirality-induced spin selectivity with spin polarization of nearly 70%.
