Abstract

Pellets have voids in their structure, which form a pore space. Pellet pores can be represented by closed volumes or channels, capillaries. The volume of capillaries can be estimated by impregnating pellets with water. The purpose of this work is to assess the possibility of studying the pore space of burnt pellets using the capillary-porous solids model. For this purpose, samples of laboratory and industrial pellets were presented. According to the data obtained, samples with a high moisture capacity value have a higher recoverability. This method of evaluating the pores of burnt pellets provides information about open porosity, which can be used to predict their recoverability. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
