Abstract

A new study from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine has identified distinct gene signatures and pathways in lesional and non-lesional atopic dermatitis (AD) using co-expression network and machine learning analysis of transcriptomics data. The researchers aimed to better understand the underlying mechanisms of AD, a common inflammatory skin condition. Through their analysis, they identified relevant pathways such as wound healing and glucocorticoid receptor signaling, as well as specific genes with high diagnostic efficacy. This research provides valuable insights into the pathogenesis of AD and may contribute to the development of more effective treatments. [Extracted from the article]
