Abstract
- A study conducted by researchers at Kyushu University in Fukuoka, Japan, aimed to assess the relationship between histopathological features of gastric cancer and the extracellular volume fraction (ECV) measured by preoperative equilibrium contrast-enhanced computed tomography (CECT). The study included 66 patients with surgically resected gastric adenocarcinoma who underwent preoperative multiphasic CECT. The results showed that tumor ECV determined by equilibrium CECT is significantly correlated with the pathological infiltration pattern of gastric cancer. This research provides new insights into the diagnosis and understanding of gastric cancer. [Extracted from the article]
