Abstract

A recent study conducted at Rapti Provincial Hospital in Nepal aimed to assess the prevalence and acceptance of yoga practice among pregnant women attending antenatal care. The study found that only 16.7% of the 227 respondents practiced yoga during pregnancy, with 50.2% perceiving acceptance of yoga in antenatal care. Factors such as age, ethnicity, employment status, and pre-pregnancy yoga practice were found to be associated with the practice and acceptability of yoga. The study suggests that targeted interventions and integrating yoga into routine antenatal care could promote its benefits and improve maternal and fetal outcomes. [Extracted from the article]
