Abstract
- The UK has spent the last fifteen years locked in a low-investment, low-growth holding pattern of its own making. Since the 2019 election, changes in the national and global economic environment have rendered it increasingly difficult to break out of this self-inflicted stagnation. But these constraints are ultimately political, rather than economic: the new Labour government will be able to change course, if it has the political appetite to do so. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
