Abstract
- A meta-analysis was conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of radiofrequency catheter ablation (RFCA) in improving the prognosis of patients with heart failure (HF) and atrial fibrillation (AF). The analysis included nine randomized clinical trials and found that RFCA was associated with a significant reduction in all-cause mortality, heart failure hospitalization, and the composite endpoint of mortality and hospitalization. RFCA also resulted in fewer recurrences of AF compared to medical treatment. While there was some heterogeneity among the studies, the overall evidence suggests that RFCA has therapeutic potential for patients with HF and AF. [Extracted from the article]
