Abstract

Sense International, an international disability charity, held a gala fundraising dinner in London with the support of Princess Anne, the charity's patron. The charity works to support children and adults with deafblindness and has helped over 80,000 people and their families each year. Sense International has provided services such as early screening, education, and vocational training to over a million individuals. The charity's work has been recognized by governments in India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Kenya, and Uganda. Additionally, Sotheby's is set to auction rare South Asian art, including Bhupen Khakhar's self-portrait as a dentist and Sayed Haider Raza's Terra Amata. Sikh sacred music, known as kirtan, has also been recognized as part of the graded music examination system in the UK for the first time, allowing students to earn UCAS points. This recognition aims to preserve Sikh heritage and traditional musical skills. [Extracted from the article]
