Abstract
- High-pressure heaters with stainless tubes were developed on the basis of previously tested technical solutions. These heaters replaced high-pressure heaters PV-150-3M with brass heat exchanger tubes in the regeneration system of the PR-12.9-2.8 (AP-25-2) turbine unit. Disadvantages of the replaced heaters, which caused their unsatisfactory thermal efficiency, thus complicating the operation of the regeneration system, are considered. The observed operational disadvantages are eliminated in the new heaters, which resulted in their higher thermal efficiency than that of the replaced ones, as confirmed by test and operation data. The example of heaters PV-150-3M demonstrates that high-pressure chamber heaters of low-power turbine units kept in operation for normal initial steam parameters can be successfully replaced with more advanced units.
