Abstract

Swiss voters have rejected a government proposal to reform company pension funds for the second time this year. The plan aimed to increase wage deductions and reduce retirement payouts in response to higher life expectancy. However, only 32.9% of voters supported the bill. The government now needs to develop an alternative reform to ensure the sustainability of the pension system. Additionally, citizens also voted against expanding the protection of nature reserves.
