Abstract

The National Institute on Drug Abuse is accepting research project cooperative agreement applications for the Animal Genomics Program. The program aims to identify genetic, genomic, and molecular variants that are related to Substance Use Disorders (SUD) risk, trajectory, and comorbidities. The deadline for proposals is February 11, 2025, and the number of awards will depend on the availability of funds and the quality of applications. Eligible applicants include colleges and universities, for-profit organizations, nonprofit organizations, and government entities. The program supports research that connects genetic and molecular mechanisms to neural circuit function and behavior, with a focus on identifying various types of genomic and epigenomic variants associated with addiction.
