Abstract
- A study conducted by Universite du Quebec a Montreal (UQAM) evaluated the feasibility and impact of an 8-week virtual yoga program, called the Bali Yoga Programme for Residents (PYB-R), on the mental health of resident physicians in Quebec, Canada. The study included 55 resident physicians, with 96.4% completing the pre-intervention assessment and 78.2% completing the post-intervention assessment. The results showed a decrease in depression and anxiety scores, as well as an increase in compassion satisfaction scores. The study suggests that a virtual yoga-based program is feasible and has lasting positive effects on the mental health of resident physicians for up to 3 months. However, further research with a larger sample and control group is needed to validate these findings. [Extracted from the article]
