Abstract

A study conducted by researchers at Sun Yat-sen University in Guangzhou, China explores the behavioral motives behind users' algorithmic avoidance in intelligent recommendation systems. The study aims to improve the interaction between users and technology and provide guidance for the efficient operations of enterprises using these systems. The research reveals that algorithmic transparency and perceived manipulation significantly impact users' algorithmic avoidance. The sense of being manipulated plays a crucial role in the influence of information quality, homogeneous recommendation, and algorithmic transparency on algorithmic avoidance. This research has been peer-reviewed and can be accessed through the Journal of Global Information Management. [Extracted from the article]
