Abstract
- A recent study conducted at the University of Colorado in Aurora, Colorado, examined the associations between maternal diet during pregnancy, infant diet diversity, and the development of childhood allergic diseases. The study found that both maternal diet index during pregnancy and infant diet diversity at 12 months were associated with the risk of a combined allergic disease outcome. This suggests that interventions targeting maternal diet during pregnancy and infant diet diversity could be effective in preventing allergic diseases in children. The research was supported by the National Institutes of Health and has been peer-reviewed. [Extracted from the article]
