Abstract

A recent study conducted by researchers at Isfahan University of Medical Sciences in Iran explored the effectiveness of empowerment programs in preventing and managing risky behaviors in adolescents. The researchers conducted a narrative review of articles, books, and international websites, focusing on keywords such as substance-related disorders, risky behaviors, empowerment, program, adolescent, suicide, and risky sexual behaviors. The review found that empowering programs for adolescents should be comprehensive, addressing social, educational, economic, and health dimensions, and should actively involve and engage adolescents. The study suggests that empowering programs can be effective in promoting healthy behaviors and reducing unhealthy behaviors in adolescents. [Extracted from the article]
