Abstract
- A recent study conducted by researchers at Huazhong University of Science and Technology in Wuhan, China, explores the role of cardiolipin (CL) in septic cardiomyopathy (SCM). The study found that alterations in CL contribute to mitochondrial dysfunction and cellular apoptosis, leading to myocardial injury. The researchers also discovered the protective effect of mitophagy in the early stages of SCM. This study provides valuable insights into the mechanisms underlying SCM and suggests new avenues for future research in cardiac pathology. [Extracted from the article]
