Abstract

A new report from Bar-Ilan University in Israel presents research on noninvasive measurement and sensing of vital bio signs using radio frequency technology. The study introduces a novel technique for remote noncontact measurements based on radio frequencies, which can penetrate through walls and tissues to measure respiration and heart rate. The research conducted experiments using a prototype device and demonstrated the feasibility of accurately measuring these physiological parameters remotely. The proposed measurement tool is simple, low-cost, and accessible to a wide range of users, including healthcare professionals and individuals monitoring their own health.
