Abstract

Urinary incontinence is a common condition that affects many women, but it is rarely discussed. It can be caused by various factors such as pregnancy, menopause, weight gain, constipation, high impact exercise, chronic coughing, and certain medications. Treatment options are available, and women should not feel like they have to live with it. Other factors that can affect the pelvic floor include coughing, constipation, and overexercising. Women's health physiotherapists specialize in treating pelvic floor disorders and can provide assessment and treatment for urinary incontinence and other related conditions. Pelvic floor exercises can be effective in improving symptoms, and there are also specialist treatments available. Additionally, a trial is being conducted to find herbal therapies for recurring urinary tract infections. [Extracted from the article]
