Abstract

We report herein a synthetic strategy for the generation of direct selenothiocyanation from both terminal and internal alkynes via a radical process. Alkynes derived from bioactive molecules, such as L (−)-borneol and L -menthol, are suitable for selenothiocyanation reaction.
