Abstract

A recent study conducted at Christ University in Karnataka, India, has discovered a novel method for synthesizing a benzimidazole derivative called 2-(4-methoxyphenyl)-1 H-benzo[ d ]imidazole. The researchers used ferrocenyl aniline as a catalyst in combination with electropolymerized thiophene-3-acetic acid on carbon fiber paper, resulting in a highly efficient electrocatalyst. The synthesis was performed using a three-electrode system and yielded a 91% product yield, which was then characterized using various techniques. The researchers concluded that this environmentally friendly synthesis method is significant due to its high yield and pharmacological importance. [Extracted from the article]
