Abstract

A systematic review conducted by researchers at the University of Patanjali in India evaluated the impact of yoga therapy on lumbar intervertebral disc prolapse (LIVDP), also known as lumbar disc herniation (LDH). The review included 10 studies involving 546 patients and found that yoga therapy was effective, affordable, and preventive in treating LIVDP and low back pain. However, the researchers noted the need for additional high-quality, large-scale randomized control trials (RCTs) and studies for more clinically significant results. This research provides valuable insights into the potential benefits of mind-body therapy like yoga for individuals with LIVDP. [Extracted from the article]
