Abstract

Noatum Maritime, a Spanish firm in the AD Ports Group, has acquired a majority stake in Safina Shipping Services (SSS), an Egyptian maritime agency and freight service provider. SSS has facilities in multiple locations in Egypt, including Alexandria, Damietta, Port Said, Port Tawfiq, and El-Adabiya Port. This acquisition is part of Noatum's expansion efforts in the Mediterranean region and aligns with AD Ports Group's presence in Egypt. Safina Shipping Services will be renamed Noatum Maritime Egypt and integrated into the company's structure. In a separate development, GAC Spain, a subsidiary of the GAC Group, has opened a new branch in Huelva, Spain, to support the region's growing green energy sector and the Andalusia Green Hydrogen Valley project.
