Abstract
- This document is a collection of abstracts from the Annals of Burns & Fire Disasters journal. The first abstract is a scoping review that examines the literature on compassion fatigue and satisfaction in therapists who work with burn survivors. The review identifies gaps in the literature and concludes that more research is needed to understand the relationship between these concepts and therapists' outcomes. The second abstract discusses the implementation of a psychosocial screener for pediatric burn survivors in an outpatient setting. The screener categorizes patients based on their risk level and determines the need for intervention or referrals. The third abstract presents a retrospective review of the use of a topical mixture of triamcinolone and polysporin for the treatment of hypergranulation tissue in burn wounds. The authors find that the mixture is effective and safe for resolving hypergranulation. [Extracted from the article]
