Abstract

The article discusses the effectiveness of a human milk donation promotion program in a virtual group of Mexican women. It highlights the challenges of exclusive breastfeeding in Mexico and the global lack of breastfeeding culture. The article explores the use of social media platforms, such as Facebook, for promoting breastfeeding and milk donation. It also emphasizes the importance of mutual support groups and the role of digital networks in promoting maternal and child health. The study focuses on the effectiveness of the program and its impact on the participants' attitudes and behaviors. The findings suggest that the virtual group improves the promotion of human milk donation by creating unofficial support networks and facilitating information sharing. The article concludes by highlighting the significance of qualitative exploration and the potential of sociodigital networks in improving maternal and child health in Mexico and Latin America.
