Abstract
- Novel catalysts, Sn<subscript> x</subscript>Zr<subscript>1- x</subscript>O<subscript>2</subscript> solid solutions, for NO selective catalytic reduction:NO SCR) are reported. They have much higher activity and selectivity than SnO<subscript>2</subscript> and ZrO<subscript>2</subscript>. Sn<superscript>4+</superscript> is the main reductive sites as proved by TPR. The dilution of Sn sites by the coexisting Zr causes a suppression of propene combustion and consequently promoted the selective reduction of NO. The rutile structure might be beneficial to NO SCR.
