Abstract

This research empirically examines the influence of green operations on the sustainability of product-service systems, focusing on the mediating role of green innovations within Saudi Arabian manufacturing companies. Using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) for data analysis, the study gathered data from 361 employees through convenience sampling. The results demonstrated that pollution prevention practices, top management commitment, sustainable human resource management, and product stewardship significantly enhance the sustainability of product-service systems. This study contributes to the literature by revealing a novel connection between green operations and the development of sustainable product-service systems in the Saudi manufacturing sector. It also offers a unique insight into the mediating role of green innovations, emphasizing the transformative potential of these strategies in promoting sustainability in emerging economies. Practically, the study provides valuable recommendations for manufacturing companies seeking to integrate green practices into their operations, aiming to improve both environmental stewardship and business competitiveness.
