Abstract

In the last few decades, photochemistry has great influence on all type of synthetic processes. While photochemical synthesis is emerging field in inorganic chemistry as it impart various magnificent properties to materials that are used for synthesis of nano-sized materials to giant supramolecular structures. There are many photochemical based synthetic approaches like electron, atom, energy transfer depending upon the need of product where one can switch the pathway. A variety of inorganic compounds have been synthesized like dienes, nitrides, indoles, gold nano-particles and supramolecular structures using photochemical route. Photochemical synthesis has various applications like artificial photosynthesis and fluorophores. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
