Abstract
- This article, titled "OC18.06: Prolapse prevalence declines in the elderly," explores the association between age and the prevalence of different types of pelvic organ prolapse (POP). The study analyzed data from a tertiary urogynecological center and found that while the prevalence of cystocele and uterine POP were associated with age, this association was not linear. The study suggests that POP may not necessarily worsen with age. The findings are based on a retrospective analysis of 3,473 data sets and highlight the need for further research on the natural history of POP. [Extracted from the article]
