Abstract
- A new report from Wangjing Hospital in Beijing, China discusses research findings on functional dyspepsia (FD), a common gastrointestinal disorder. The study focuses on the role of duodenal microbiota dysbiosis in FD and its potential impact on gut-brain interaction. The review summarizes the changes in duodenal microbiota in FD patients and their relationship with symptom burden and quality of life. The findings suggest that microbial dysbiosis in FD patients is linked to the onset and exacerbation of symptoms and is related to the disorder of gut-brain interaction. Larger-scale studies are needed to further understand the characteristics of duodenal microbiota in FD patients and its role in FD pathogenesis. [Extracted from the article]
