Abstract

A recent report from Fuzhou University in China discusses the development of a bio-inspired self-healing hydrogel for the treatment of gastric ulcers. The hydrogel, which incorporates a targeted agent called TCP-25 peptide, demonstrates rapid hemostasis and superior wound healing in gastric ulcers. In experiments with rats, the hydrogel effectively inhibited gastric ulcer bleeding by 92% within 24 hours, outperforming the commonly used clinical treatment omeprazole. This research offers promising clinical applications for the treatment of gastric ulcers. [Extracted from the article]
