Abstract

The article highlights that low levels of remnant cholesterol (RC) are associated with a higher risk of new-onset atrial fibrillation (AF), independent of traditional cardiovascular risk factors. Topics include the large-scale prospective study with over 392,000 participants, the paradoxical inverse relationship between RC and AF incidence, and discordance analyses comparing RC and LDL-C levels.
