Abstract
- A study conducted in Qatar aimed to assess the knowledge, perception, and attitude towards Human Papillomavirus (HPV) infection and vaccination among university students. The study found that there were gaps in the students' understanding and knowledge about HPV, with only 6.3% of students having been previously vaccinated. However, 71% of unvaccinated students expressed willingness to get vaccinated if recommended by their healthcare provider. The researchers concluded that increasing knowledge and integrating HPV vaccinations into childhood vaccination programs could be key in improving HPV vaccination uptake. Healthcare professionals and policymakers were encouraged to increase their knowledge and communication skills regarding HPV. [Extracted from the article]
