Abstract
- A recent study conducted by investigators from Punjab Engineering College in Chandigarh, India, focused on the synthesis and biological evaluation of 4,5-dehydrospisulosine butyrate ceramides as potential anticancer agents. The researchers successfully synthesized these compounds and found that one of them, compound N-((2S,3S,E)-3-hydroxyheptadec-4-en-2-yl) butyramide, exhibited remarkable cytotoxicity against PC-3 and HCT-116 cell lines. Molecular docking simulation studies and molecular dynamics simulations were also performed to assess the binding affinities and stability of the compounds. This research provides valuable insights into potential new treatments for prostate and colon cancer. [Extracted from the article]
